"You can't buy joy . . . but this sure is close!"

Linda first heard about World Vision while listening to the radio in her car. Moved by the real-life stories of children in need, Linda decided it was time to do something. So she pulled over, got the phone number, and sponsored three children.

"I just felt it was the direction God was pushing me," she says. "So I said, 'All right, Lord, if you think I can do it, I will. "

That turned out to be the first of many steps of faith. Since that day in her car, Linda has made numerous gifts to World Vision, her church, and other charitable organizations. She even decided to sponsor a fourth child.

So when the time came for Linda to write her will, adding World Vision seemed like an easy decision. "It was the right thing to do. Im glad I can do something in addition to giving to my own family," she says.

Linda is not especially wealthy-at least not as the world measures it. That doesnt matter, though, because Linda has a different kind of wealth: an abundance of joy. "I may not have much, but I absolutely adore knowing that my gift is going to help children.

"Even if you have a small estate, like me, it's still something. It gives me such satisfaction to know that even after Im gone, I can still have an impact. You can't buy joy . . . but this sure is close!"
