"It brings me joy to help these children."
Rosanna Brown, Washington Rosanna's face breaks into a wide smile as she reads the most recent note from one of her sponsored children-a teenage boy from South Africa. "He writes the most beautiful letters," she exclaims. "He's just been an inspiration to me." Rosanna also sponsors a little girl from Malawi. A few months ago, she began supporting a third child, a boy who lives in Guatemala. "I married late and never had children of my own-maybe that's what led me to sponsor several children." Now in her 80s, Rosanna figured the time had come to make a will. "Sometimes it can be hard to take that first step," she admits. But with some gentle prodding from her cousin, Rosanna determined not to put it off any longer. "I decided it was something that needed to be done. So I went to the attorney's office with a list of organizations that I want to leave money to." She adds, "Of course World Vision was one of them!" Rosanna wants to make sure World Vision continues helping children in need in the years to come. "They're such a wonderful organization, and they give their very best," she says. "I just want World Vision to carry on. "It gives me such peace of mind to know that even when I'm gone, I can continue to make a difference." ![]() Do your current plans reflect the legacy you want to leave?
